Our Future Diplomatic Leaders

Webster University in Tashkent raises a very promising young generation, full of enthusiastic students with their heads held higher than their dreams. It is courtesy of the rich education system, which, by adding clubs into its rotation, impacted not only the social lives of students, but also raised socioeconomic standards.

The Webster IRDC (International Relations and Diplomacy Club) has been a successful university-wide organization since the opening of Webster University in Tashkent in November of 2019. Here are some examples of the events that take place under the wing of IRDC. On October 28, 2021 the club organized their first official seminar. One of the guest speakers was Mr. Mindaugas Kacerauskis, Head of Political, Press and Information Section of the EU delegation in Uzbekistan. Mr. Mindaugas Kacerauskis, gave a historical overview of Europe Union Integration.

On November 28, 2021 the IRDC club had its first MUN (Model United Nations) session, water security was the main topic of discussion. For those who did not know, Model UN is an extra-curricular activity in which students simulate conferences of delegates to the United Nations.

On March 3, 2022 there was an open talk with Pr. Mohammed Balbaa, expert in economic relations. The main topic was the economic impact and possible outcome in the Russian-Ukrainian crisis.

The members of the International Relations and Diplomacy Club frequently visit many embassies in the country, such as the United States Embassy, Pakistan Embassy, the Embassy of Kazakhstan and the British Embassy.
